Regulations

  • All information provided is confidential and protected by HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 to the extent of applicable health orders, laws, and regulations.

  • Workplace contact tracing is required by the Cal-OSHA COVID-19 Prevention Emergency Temporary Standards (ETS) and by order of the California Department of Public Health (AB 685 and AFL 20-09, 20-10, 20-11, and 20-14). Workers are required to provide all information pertaining to the potential risk of COVID-19 spread and employers are required to provide resources and support for employees affected by COVID-19.

  • Contact tracing of employees and residents in a congregate living facility is required by LA County Order of the Health Officer for Control of COVID-19: Prevention of COVID-19 Transmission in Community Care Facilities, updated 12/27/2021.

  • Isolating of positive cases and quarantine of potentially exposed individuals is a requirement of LA County Health Officer Orders for Control of COVID-19: Public Health Emergency Isolation Order and Public Health Emergency Quarantine Order, updated 1/11/2022.

  • Reporting of cases and exposures is a requirement of LA County Health Officer Order - Updated COVID-19 Reporting Requirements, 3/9/2020.

  • All COVID-19 testing and vaccination activities of Behavioral Health Services, Inc. must be reported on the HRSA COVID-19 Data Collection Survey per terms of the agreement to receive free testing supplies and vaccines and is a requirement of funding for all COVID-19 funding, updated 1/14/22.

  • All new residents in congregate living facilities must be screened for symptoms and receive diagnostic testing upon entry and after a minimum observational quarantine; and existing residents who develop symptoms or are exposed to someone with COVID-19 must be screened, tested, and isolated or quarantined by LA County Health Office Order for Control of COVID-19 – Prevention of COVID-19 Transmission in Community Care Facilities V2, updated 12/27/21.
